The Government IS aware that holiday caravans and lodges are sometimes mis-sold to consumers.

 

In many cases consumers are not given the correct information about the caravan/lodge or the holiday park's planning permission, and are not provided with written agreements.

 

Agreements should clearly set out the terms and conditions, including terms for occupying a pitch on the holiday park, selling a caravan or terminating an agreement.

 

In other examples, aggressive and deceitful sales methods are used to coerce consumers into making a purchase.

 

Our aim is to force fairness, transparency and legality into a lawless Industry that has been this way for far too long.
