"Man On A Mission"

 

Shayne an ex-services and honorable man and his wife Katie brought a lodge in 2014 to live in for £167:000.

 

Their son George was stillborn at their lodge at Chichester Lakeside, and a memorial was set up for him with a plaque, on their pitch.

 

The General Manager at the time, had given permission for the laying out of the memorial area including  the plaque a shed and  some plant pots.

​

In November 2017 a new  General Manager took over at Chichester Lakeside Holiday Park and despite the permission granted for the memorial area he, reportedly, tried to have it removed.

​

The staff, quite rightly, refused to do this.

 

Subsequently lorries and containers were brought on to the park destroying various owner's plots, including the memorial area.(this was all recorded).

 

The memorial plaque was recovered by a neighbour, and returned to Shayne, who, as you can imagine, was destroyed by this shocking and callous act. 

 

Shayne tells that from then on the GM made life very uncomfortable for him and his family, who could take no more and decided they would leave the Park.

 

They tried to sell their lodge privately.

 

According to Shayne private sales were blocked by the Park and they eventually sold it back to Park for £47,000, which was a loss of £120,000 in 3-4 years.

 

The stress caused a great deal of emotional and mental pain and took it's toll on the family.

 

The Lodge was then re-sold on that same pitch for £135,000.

 

The Lodge is also now up for sale once more.

 

Shayne states "...I’ve so much proof, even from staff, but can not afford solicitors, so I’m turning up at the parks on public footpaths to hand out Carole's leaflets and protest for people rights, as so many are afraid and most of those on the parks are over 60..."

The questions really are, " What kind of a man is does this" and "What kind of a company seeks to profit from the tragic loss of an ex services man and his family?"
