IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL HPAG MEMBERS

 

With regards to the Group Legal Claim, HPAG has solely partnered with leading consumer barrister Hugh Preston KC and his legal team at KPC Law Ltd.

 

 

Hugh has been working ‘pro bono’ on behalf of HPAG for some considerable time. It is only through his extensive research, detailed legal knowledge and vast professional experience that we are able to bring you the opportunity of pursuing a Group Legal Claim.

 

This is a No Win, No Fee claims process, which means you will not be required to pay any money upfront. The claim is covered by ATE (after the event insurance) in the event that the claim is not successful, which means you will not be liable for any of the defendants associated legal costs.

 

We are bringing this to your attention now as it is clear that some of our group members have been receiving ‘cold calls’ from individuals claiming to be working on behalf of claims companies and offering their services.

 

Through our extensive work with Hugh we know the legal complexities involved in the claim. It is simply not possible for any claims company to obtain money from your park operator until such time that the Group Legal Claim has been successful.

 

These approaches are speculative by nature and you can spot them if they ask you to pay money upfront.

 

As an example;

 

A member received a phone call from a male caller identifying himself as working for a claims company (the name of which is now known to us). The caller told the member that they would be able to claim £15,000.00 from the park operator if they signed up with the company at a cost of £2,500.00, payable at £250 per month for 10 months. When the member challenged the caller the tone of the conversation changed to target HPAG, stating that nothing from us was for free. Clearly that set alarm bells ringing for the member as it is common knowledge that the only remuneration any of our small voluntary team of admins receive is the satisfaction of helping others.

 

If you have already joined the Group Legal Claim then you will only be contacted through the formal confidential process by the team working for KPC Law Ltd.

 

You will never be asked for any money upfront by KPC Law Ltd.

 

If you have been contacted by someone purporting to be from KPC and you are unsure then email KPC directly and let them know or contact us.

 

KPC Law Ltd will not ‘cold call’ anyone seeking to sign you up to the claim. The onus is on you to join the claim using the links we have provided.

Just as the holiday park sector operates some very dubious practices so do other sectors, including claims management companies.

 

Remember, if you receive a cold call, a facebook, whatsapp or text message, an email or any other communication from anyone seeking to sign you up to the claim then they will not be working for KPC Law or working in partnership with HPAG. .

 

Please take the names and details of anyone who contacts you, save any emails or other messages and let HPAG admins know.
